LOCK HAVEN – City Council greeted two of the newest officers on the police force at its Monday evening meeting.


MILL HALL – A three-vehicle crash occurred on Route 150 in Bald Eagle Township Sunday at 1:21 p.m., Tpr. Eric Kline of the state police at Lamar said. All the vehicles were traveling north on Route 150, and Mary B. Hirst, 51, of Cross Fork, was slowing her 2010 Subaru Outback for a vehicle in front of her, when Kara S. Krebs, 21, of Milesburg, crashed her 1997 Dodge Stratus into the Outback, police said. Krebs’ vehicle drifted down the road and struck a 1996 Chevrolet Blazer, which had been parked along the side of the road, police said.


MILL HALL – Sherry Pierce, 18, of Lock Haven, is charged with retail theft after she allegedly tried to leave Wal-Mart, Hogan Boulevard, without paying for items Thursday at 5:35 p.m., Tpr. Kline of the state police at Lamar said.

LOCK HAVEN – A victim reported to city police someone stole the license plate from the rear of his vehicle while it was parked on West Fourth Street between Railroad and Spring streets, sometime between Sunday and Thursday. The plate number is “773-WSO,” police said.

LOCK HAVEN – Leslie Robb Ahern, 21, of 179 N. Fairview St. is charged with driving under the influence after he was stopped at 1:22 a.m. today after going the wrong way down Nesbit Lane without headlights on, police said.


LOCK HAVEN -Gary Kinley, 46, of 64 W. Bald Eagle St. was arrested Wednesday at 11:58 p.m. for driving while intoxicated, city police said. Police said Kinley was stopped on Bellefonte Avenue for speeding and was found to be under the influence of alcohol.

LOCK HAVEN – A tractor-trailer truck struck and damaged a telephone pole at West Bald Eagle and East Park streets Wednesday evening, city police said. Police said Edward Joseph Pickett of Omaha, Neb. was rounding the corner when his rig struck the pole. The accident was witnessed by a passer-by who said the truck continued on without stopping to report the accident. Police found Pickett later at the First Quality complex and Pickett told officers he was aware the rig jumped the curb but didn’t realize the pole was also struck.
