Monday night, LHU’s Durwachter Alumni Conference Center was full of excitement. Filled with culture from India, there was traditional Indian food and a dance performance by Shoba and Kayal Kumar of Sellinsgrove, Pa.
Beautiful traditional costumes, and intricate dance steps shocked and awed a full house. Attendees even got henna tattoos. This was a beautiful and exciting start to International Week at Lock Haven University.
LHU student Megan Royer said, “Watching the dancers was captivating. The younger girl was energetic and upbeat, where her mother was slower, more emotional and dramatic. There was great food, and a truly amazing experience.”
