Lock Haven University’s MountainServe Center is looking for clubs, groups, and organizations to participate in this year’s Children’s Festival! On April 28, 2012 from 1:00-4:00pm, university students and community members will come together to provide educational and recreational activities, and entertainment for children from the Lock Haven area school districts. This year’s theme is “It takes a village…” which centers around the responsibility of the community to be actively involved in the development of children.
Clubs and organizations are asked to create a booth and come up with an activity to showcase what it’s all about. Some examples of activities are story time, fun with mathematics, puppet shows, games, face painting, science fair projects, technology, dance, and more. It’s up to you to make your booth what you want to teach children in a fun way. Your group will be responsible for any of the materials you may need, however, tables/chairs and power outlets will be available to you.
If you’re interested in participating in Children’s Festival or have any questions, please stop by the MountainServe Center in Raub 103 to pick up a participation and liability form for your club or email Chrissy Norelli at cnorelli@lhup.edu.
