Miss Haven Crowned

The brothers of Pi Lambda Phi held their fourth annual Miss Haven Pageant on April 5.
The pageant featured seven contestants: Jackie Washco, Tithi Patel, Jaimie Dodson, Amanda Coxen, Geanne Marie Pitre, Meghan Grenier and Jess Joseph.
Miss Haven was determined by the four judges; Wendy Walsh (Campus Village R.D./IFC advisor), Dr. Jeffery Walsh (Associate Professor Recreation Management), Marchal Rote (Facilities Coordinator) and Raymond Steele (R.D.)
Amanda Coxen, Early Childhood/Special Education major and ZTA sister, was crowned Miss Haven 2012.
Jess Joseph, Political Science/Communication major, won runner up by way of audience voting.
The girls had to participate in a series of events including a questionnaire, summerwear, talent, and formalwear categories.
Pi Lambda Phi was able to raise $130 for the March of Dimes, which is an organization that focuses on raising money to help mothers have full-term pregnancies, as well as do research on problems that threaten babies’ health.
