The Lock Haven University women’s soccer team (5-3-2, 2-3-2 PSAC) tied visiting East Stroudsburg (5-2-3, 4-1-2 PSAC) 1-1 yesterday in a PSAC matchup at Hubert Jack Stadium.

LHU fell behind early in the 11th minute when Cree Julian of ESU found the back of the net from 20 yards out.

Haven answered just 10 minutes later when Katie Eichman (McAlisterville, Pa./East Juniata) beat the Warriors keeper to even the score at 1-1.

Eichman’s goal was set up by a great pass from Jamie Hunter (Marietta, Pa./Donegal), who led Eichman past the final defender.

The goal was Eichman’s second of the season.

The two teams remained knotted at 1-1 for the rest of regulation and two overtimes.

Haven goalie Dana Wozniak (Blackstone, Mass./Mount St. Charles Academy) made five saves in the match.

Harley Rolph (Newtown, N.J./Kittatinny Regional) anchored a strong all-around defensive effort by LHU, which allowed just six shots on goal on the day.

The Lady Eagles are now unbeaten in their last six home games and have a record of 4-0-2 over that span.

Lock Haven returns to action on Saturday, October 6 when they travel to local rival Bloomsburg University for a 1 p.m. kickoff.
