Tommy D’s Tattoo Parlour is now up and inking at 212 Vesper Street in Lock Haven. Tommy Doebler, a Lock Haven native and Mill Hall resident, is bringing his passion for tattooing to the downtown with a new, licensed tattoo shop. The shop was awarded the license by the City of Lock Haven Board of Health on October 15, 2012 and opened for business shortly thereafter.

The Grand Opening Event will take place Saturday, October 27 starting with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 10 AM and going until “the last tattoo is done” says tattoo artist Tommy D. There will specials on a variety of flash, with prices starting at $30, and consultations available for custom pieces. Everyone is welcome to stop by, check out the new shop, and talk tattoos.

A 2012 Harris Poll indicated that an increasing percentage (21%) of adults now have one or more tattoos, and Tommy D. believes that there is a definite need for a new, local, and licensed tattoo shop. “I see a lot of tattoos that were done in less than sterile environments, and that is a dangerous thing,” warns Doebler. “I want to offer people a safe place to get good ink.”

In his tattooing, Tommy D. utilizes both his artistic talents and his knack for the technical/mechanical. Doebler studied Fine Arts at Lock Haven University, in addition to spending many years working at technical jobs in local manufacturing. “I know how hard people work for their money,” Tommy D. says, “I am going to work just as hard to keep prices reasonable and affordable.”

Tommy D’s Tattoo Parlour was founded in 2012 to offer patrons a wide variety of flash and custom-work tattoos in a clean and sterile environment.
