Lady Eagles close out regular season LHU swimmers host Haven Invite

The Lock Haven University swim team closed out the regular season by hosting the Haven Invite and the Lady Eagles turned in a solid outing.

Following the prelims today, Lock Haven took time to honor its four seniors in Brittany Rehrig (Wilmington, Del./Charter School of Wilmington), Brittany Maguire (Drexel Hill, Pa./Archbishop Prendergast), Shannon Milstead (Enola, Pa./East Pennsboro) and student-assistant coach Adam Stoner.

Rehrig led a 1-2-3 Haven finish in the 50-yard freestyle. She won with a PSAC time of 24.63, while Kaitlyn Druby (Palmyra, Pa./Bishop McDevitt) and Allie Muha (Millersville, Pa./Severna Park) finished second (27.03) and third (27.91).

Milstead won 100-backstroke (1:06.53) and the 200-free with a PSAC mark of 2:02.30.

Kayla Schnars (Howard, Pa./Bellefonte) won the 100-butterfly (1:08.06) and Amanda Thomas (Parsippany, N.J./Parsippany) won the 200-breaststroke (2:45.11).

Abby Miller (Levittown, Pa./Neshaminy) posted victory in the 100-freestyle, while Kristin Taylor (Dillsburg, Pa./Northern York) and Muha went 1-2 in the 400 IM. Taylor hit a PSAC mark of 4:55.33 on the way to the win.

Lock Haven returns to action on Thursday, February 14 at the 2013 PSAC Championships. The 2013 Championships run from Thursday (Feb. 14) to Sunday, Feb. 17 at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
