Brighten up your winter wardrobe

As these winter months drag on, I know that most of us are getting tired of our winter wardrobe.  Each day we wake up and put on boots, hats, scarves and heavy coats. The repetition of the same sweaters has become monotonous.  Everyone cannot wait for warmer weather and to wear their spring clothes.  Well who says that we have to wait till spring to change out our winter clothes?

Start simple and mix some bright colored clothes into your wardrobe.  This can be done by purchasing some bright colored tank tops or camisoles from Wal-Mart or Kmart or by digging out some from your summer clothes collection.  Pair these bright colored tops with your favorite cardigan and your once cold winter outfit comes alive with color.

You can also get a little more creative with adding color by tie-dying some shirts.  Take some of your simple white shirts or pick up a package of plain white t-shirts and spray them with color, literally.  A tie dye kit from Wal-Mart only costs roughly 9 dollars.  This is a very colorful way to keep winter at bay.  This is also a trend that never goes out of style.  Putting on a tie-dye shirt has the capability of instantly making your day a little better.  Why else do you think people in the 60s were so happy all of the time?

Articles of clothing with flowers on them can also shine a light through this long winter.  This includes tops, skirts, pants, hair accessories and even jewelry.  Flowers are a symbol of warmer weather so adding this into your clothes and spring won’t be seeming so far away.

Take this advice and add some bright colors into your clothes.  You’ll be surprised by how such a simple change to your wardrobe can make a big difference in how you feel.
