Wildcat Comic Con back with a cosplay catch

Take out your cosplays and comics!

This year’s Wildcat Comic Con at the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport will be taking place this Saturday from 8am-5pm. Tickets are $25 on the day of the con, and children 12 and under are free.

The program will take place primarily at the college’s Field House, with events and panels on topics like video games, comics, television, movies and more.

This year the event will also include the chance for contestants to show off their character portrayals. The adult contest will include a runway style closing ceremony in which they model their outfits. Cash prizes will be given to the top adult contestants. Children’s Cosplay prizes will be gift cards and assorted prizes.

This program will be the third Wildcat Comic Con, and will feature numerous vendors and featured guests. Some of the guests include voice acto,r John Gallogly, voice actor/musician, Eric Stuart, actor and camera operator, Chad Renn, award-winning comics creator, Alexander Simmons and more.

One of the guests, Pamela Ptak — a contestant Lifetime’s “Project Runway” — will judge the cosplay contest with Eric Stuart. The cosplay contest is an opportunity for many people to show off their workmanship and creativity through dressing up as fictional characters.

The comic con will also include numerous events and panels such as, “Voice Acting 101,” “Voice Directing/Producing/Adaptation/Writing,” “Fantasy Art to Real Cosplay” and a film Screening of “Game Companion.” There are events for people of all ages and interests.
