Japanese encaustic artist and photographer Misako Oba will be premiering his new work at the Converge Gallery at 6 p.m. It’s the perfect date night treat! Admission is free so you’ll have plenty of money to go get a hot drink at the nearby Alabaster Cafe.

This event is only $10 per person and 50 percent of the proceeds go to the Hospital Auxiliary Cancer Center for Patient Comfort & Care needs. The event is from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. and is at the Divine Providence Hospital Auditorium.

The Billtown Blues Association always has a treat for the ears. Admission is only $10 and helps to benefit local area musicians traveling to Memphis, Tenn. for the International Blues Challenge. The performance will be in the Genetti Garden Terrace Room.
