The No. 2 Lock Haven University women’s lacrosse team (4-0 overall, 2-0 PSAC) continued to show its dominance against the Fighting Scots of Edinboro (4-1 overall, 1-1 PSAC) with a 19-5 win at Charlotte E. Smith field.
The win gives the lady eagles their 17th straight regular season win, which dates back to exactly a year ago on March 25th, 2014 when they beat the Fighting Scots on the road with a final score of 15-6.
Senior Rachel Ward led the team with five goals in the game.
Senior Jessica Pandolf netted three goals in the game as well as two assists and four ground balls.
Kelly Hamilton also recorded a hat trick with three goals in the game and one ground ball.
The rising freshman Alex O’Herrick netted two goals in the game and a ground ball.
The Lock Haven defense was nearly unbeatable, recording 13-for-13 successful clear attempts and caused 14 turnovers. The goalie, Chrissy Baffuto also recorded two successful caused turnovers.
Freshmen, Dana Laulis and Hayley Killian put their names on the score sheet with one goal each.
Shannon Bissnette had a game-high eight assists and one ground ball in the victory.
The Lock Haven University lacrosse team returns to action this Saturday when they go to compete on the road against Seton Hill University. The Lady Eagles return to Charlotte Smith Field against always-tough West Chester University on Saturday, April 4th at 1:00 p.m.
