The regular season for the Lock Haven University swimming team has come to an end, but fourth year head coach Joel Blesh has several swimmers set to participate in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships. Danielle Parowski, Janel Llewellyn, Jackie Bingham and Nicole Martellotti will compete in a total of nine events at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pa. Parowski, a senior from Altoona Pa., has qualified for five of those nine events. The 100-yard freestyle (53.15), 200-yard freestyle (1:54.30), 500-yard freestyle (5:08.59), 1,000-yard freestyle (10:50.53) and the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:12.14). She currently owns the all-time Lock Haven record in the 200-yard freestyle, 500-yard freestyle, 1,000-yard freestyle and the 1,650-yard freestyle. Her all-time marks in the 200-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle were set at last year’s PSAC Championships. Llewellyn was the lone freshman to qualify for Lock Haven and she did so in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:35.50) and the 400-yard individual medley (4:56.15). Bingham qualified with a time of 2:16.59 in the 200-yard backstroke. Martellotti earned her opportunity in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 1:00.59. Coach Blesh will have time to prepare his student-athletes as the PSAC Championships will be held from Feb. 18-21.
