Here’s what’s happening this week in Lock Haven!

Friday, Feb. 19

7pm.: HAC and The Black Student Union (BSU) Big Screen Movie! Come check out the story of NWA in “Straight Outta Compton” at Price Auditorium.Directed by F. Gary Gary, this movie follows the group NWA as they emerge from the mean streets of Compton in the mid-1980s and revolutionize Hip-Hop culture with their music.

Saturday, Feb. 20

7pm.: HAC Big Screen Movie! Disney Pixar’s newest movie, “The Good Dinosaur” will be showing in Price Auditorium as an amazing follow up to “Straight Outta Compton.”

Directed by Peter Sohn, this movie is set in a world where dinosaurs and humans live side-by-side. An Apatosaurus named Arlo makes an unlikely human friend and learns the power of confronting his fears. In doing this, he learns what he is truly capable of.

Monday, Feb. 22

6pm. – 8pm.: Sloan Art Gallery! Come check out the “Light of the World,” an art exhibition by Logan Marconi, in the Sloan Fine Arts Center Gallery. The Reception and Artist’s Talk will be on Monday, Feb. 22, and the art will be up until Mar. 25.

Marconi’s work explores issues of existence and the uncertainty of knowledge in both the physical and spiritual domains.

Wednesday, Feb. 24

7:30pm.: Countdown Theatre Production! “Techies: ‘The Musical!’” opens up in Sloan 321 theater!

An original musical by JR Pawley, this play is full of awkward love, frustration and smoke breaks. Categorized as a comedy, the audience is given a rare glimpse into the backstage world of theatre technicians.
