This Week In Lock Haven

With this being the last issue before spring break, there’s a little something going on for everyone.

Here’s what’s happening this week in Lock Haven!

“Techies: ‘The Musical’” continues from tonight to Saturday, Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and a Matinee at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 27 in the Countdown theatre, Sloan 321.

An original musical by JR Pawley, this play is full of awkward love, frustration and smoke breaks. Categorized as a comedy, the audience is given a rare glimpse into the backstage world of theatre technicians.

Tonight, Feb. 25

7 p.m.: The United States Navy Band will be playing tonight at the East Campus Gymnasium!

On national tour, the United States Navy Band is the premier musical organization of the U.S. Navy and can play any style of music in any setting.

 

Friday, Feb. 26

7 p.m.: HAC Night of Comedy! Stand up comedians Ed Hill and Zoltan Kaszas will be gracing the stage at Price Auditorium.

Originally from Taiwan, Hill is an emerging young comic who moved to Canada, giving truth to his self styled label of “100% Canadian.”

Kaszas has been winning competitions such as “The Seattle International Comedy Competition,” the “San Diego Comedy Festival,” “San Diego’s Funniest Person Contest” and “The Rockstar Energy Drink Comedy Throwdown,” Kaszas will be sharing his brand of funny with us tomorrow!

Saturday, Feb. 27

7 p.m.: HAC and BSU Big Screen Movie! Come out and check “Selma” at the Price Auditorium!

Directed by Ava DuVernay, this movie follows Martin Luther King Jr’s campaign to secure equal voting rights via the march from Selma, Alabama to Montgomery, Alabama in 1965.
