A senior’s thoughts upon approaching graduation

This is a graduating college senior calling. We have 16 days till we meet. Yeah, I’m pretty scared too. I’m graduating in May, and I’m kind of looking at this whole next chapter of my life as a new Tinder match. I was just in a 4-year-long relationship with college, and man was it great. Now I have a new relationship to start, and that relationship is te with the real (grown-up) world.

Thanks for the memories and the pizza

It has been an amazing adventure from eating candy, to building forts; from being a columnist to being Editor-in-Chief. The Eagle Eye has been my home away from home, and I wouldn’t change a moment. I’m so proud of the work my staff has accomplished, and I feel honored to have been a part of it. ’m so grateful for the late nights in the office, the conferences, the friends, and the fun.

Title IX controversy: “The Lost Haven of Sharon Taylor”

Joseph Patrick Guerriero, an assistant professor in the academic and counseling department, filed a suit against the university in 2006

ABC announced that former NFL star Michael Strahan will be leaving “Live with Kelly and Michael”later this year to join Good Morning America as a co-anchor. Strahan is already a frequent guest on GMA, but he will now be on the show full-time. Strahan has been a part of the “Live” family since he took over for Regis Philbin in 2012.

Offense takes Crimson and White spring game

Head coach Dave Taynor’s offense continued to round into form as the 2016 Crimson and White game marked the end of the spring season. Taynor, who was hired on April 12th of last year, enters his first full offseason at the helm of the Bald Eagles. The offense took the spring game by a score of 78-40 over the defense.

Baseball battles hard, falls to No. 14 Warriors

The Lock Haven University baseball team (17-22 overall, 6-14 PSAC) definitely had some upset victories in mind, but it wasn’t enough as the team lost three out of four games to East Stroudsburg University (30-10 overall, 13-7 PSAC) last weekend. The ESU warriors are currently ranked No. 14 in the nation.

Lacrosse soars past No. 11 Limestone, 17-8

Charlotte Smith Field was alive and filled with energy on Sunday afternoon as the then No. 13 Lock Haven University lacrosse team hosted then No. 11 Limestone. It really was a playoff-like atmosphere for Lock Haven’s final home game of the 2016 season. They didn’t disappoint. The Bald Eagles put on an offensive and defensive clinic in the first half, outscoring Limestone 8-2.

Superheroes are more popular than ever. Ask anyone, and they’ll probably be able to tell you their favorite superhero movie. But what about comic books? Without comics there’d be no “Captain America: Civil War” or “Batman v. Superman” after all. It’s an incredibly heated topic, but I’m willing to take a crack at it.
