The semester’s winding down, which means all of the art departments are having all of their shows in the next few weeks. Here’s what’s happening this week in Lock Haven!

Tonight, April 7

7:30 p.m.: The Mainstage Theatre Production! This spring brings Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream” to the Sloan Auditorium.

Directed by Ramona Broomer, this student-done production is one of Shakespeare’s most famous comedies. When the duke of Athens is preparing for his marriage to the queen of the Amazons, the master of Revels has to find suitable entertainment. Meanwhile, four young lovers of the court go into the forest, where they get wrapped up in the schemes of the arguing Fairy King and Queen.

This play opens tonight and goes on until the 16. There is also a Matinee at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 9.

If you have any questions, or for more information on this event, please contact Professor Ramona Broomer. Her office is located at 323 Sloan.

Sunday, April 10

7 p.m.: Spring Concert! If you were lucky enough to get a ticket, come on down to the Thomas Field House to see Fetty Wap live!

An American hip-hop artist from New Jersey, he rose to number two on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart in May 2015. Now he’s coming to Lock Haven to rock our stage as part of his debut tour.

If you have any questions, or for more information on this event, please contact the Student Activities Office. They are located in the upper level of the Parson Union Building (PUB).

Remember, the Students Activities office also sends out a weekly email with events happening on and around campus. Keep your inbox clean, your eye on incoming mail, and have fun this week!
