Life Advice

life-862985_960_720Sometimes you can say something so small and simple to someone and never realize how deeply your words may affect them. The communications professor at Rowan University definitely didn’t think he would change my life simply by giving me, a random student taking a tour of campus, curriculum advice.

He told me to “make yourself the best you that you can be.” He meant take classes that would make you an impressive job candidate, but I took that to heart, and it’s become the best life advice I’ve ever gotten. I now try to make myself a better person and try to accomplish great things because I can always become a better me, it just takes time and effort.

Take into account what others have been told that makes a difference in their lives. It may change your perspective on something and make you a better person for it. And remember: your words have power over others, for good or for bad, and so you must choose your words wisely. You never know if a simple statement may change someone’s life.

So here’s the best life advice students at Lock Haven University have ever received.
