Have you ever had a desire to help kids in the Lock Haven community? Do you know the statistics for at risk students in surrounding schools? With the help of a little support and the lot of passion to see children grow and succeed in the future, we can come together and make the world a better place.
The sisters of Sigma Sigma Sigma are doing just that. This group of thirty motivated and driven women comes together in pursuit of wisdom, faith, hope, power and love. These are the values of a Tri-Sigma sister, and each one at LHU puts these values at the forefront of everything that they do, including the numerous philanthropic events they host in any given year.
This coming Spring, on April 29 from 12-3 p.m., the sisters of Sigma Sigma Sigma at Lock Haven University will be hosting their first annual Kid’s Carnival! They ask that all clubs on campus who are interested in participating in hosting a game to contact Mariah Kachmar at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible to make arrangements. All of the proceeds raised will go directly to helping terminally ill children in hospitals, assisting with play therapy and child-life programs. Sigma Serves Children is the philanthropy in which these women dedicate their lives to supporting.
These sisters let faith drive their desire to see a smile on a child’s face. They hope for the community to grow and see the importance of child’s education. Each member has a passion to constantly learn and grow in wisdom both intellectually and worldly. Sigma Sigma Sigma believes that every person in the community has the power to make a change and be the difference in someone’s life, and they continue to do all of these things with love.
So join the sisters of Tri Sigma in their strive towards a better tomorrow, starting today!
