As many students have probably noticed within the past week, parts of downtown Lock Haven are under a detour due to construction. The cause for the construction is a road improvement project that costs around $5 million, per WNEP.
Happening along route 120 in Lock Haven, reports say that the road hasn’t been improved in north of 20 years.
The entirety of the project is estimated to take eight months, as this is just the beginning stage. In three weeks, construction on Jay Street in Lock Haven is slated to begin.
So, long story short, this is worth noting when driving in downtown Lock Haven. Please be aware of the active detours to minimize the length of your commute, wherever your destination may be.
